I descend from an old middle-class silk weaving dynasty of Vienna.

For forty years I have been engaged in weaving and still got much to learn.
I have practiced hand and shuttle weaving, worked on rapier weaving machines, air-jet weaving machines and Jaquard machines;
finally I experienced – and was allowed to take part in – the transition from punched cards to electronically controlled Jaquard machines.

I have an engineering firm for textile technology with customers from all over the world.
